Ou Yang has practised Chinese law for close to twenty years. He acts for clients on corporate and commercial matters and in criminal defense, and he has particular experience in civil and commercial dispute resolution.
Much of his work is for companies in real estate, construction, new energy and technology. He is familiar with the operational questions that come with running a business in China — compliance and risk control, investment and financing, tax, and financial and management accounting — which allows him to weigh the commercial position alongside the legal one, and to propose a course of action the client can actually take.
He holds a Master of Laws from Peking University and is currently completing doctoral studies at the China University of Political Science and Law, where his research covers company law, enterprise law and contract law.
