Bingqing Zhang advises state-owned enterprises, public institutions and private companies on corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, and company-related disputes.
A large part of that work is standing counsel. Zhang has acted as retained adviser to trading, energy, property and technology companies within central state-owned groups, and to research institutes — handling the day-to-day legal questions that arise in running them, from contract review and corporate governance to approvals and compliance.

- Mergers and acquisitions. Legal due diligence for major construction and infrastructure groups, and for a state-backed industrial investment fund.
- State-owned asset transfers. Ad hoc advice on the disposal and transfer of state-owned assets for property companies and research institutes.
- Shareholder and investment disputes. Designed and ran a resolution strategy for an investment company facing a shareholder dispute over outbound investment.
- General corporate. Advice to businesses on lending and investment arrangements, subsidiary formation, corporate governance and guarantees.
- Dispute resolution. Acted in construction, negotiable instrument and employment cases.
Zhang holds a Bachelor of Laws from the China University of Political Science and Law and a Master of Laws from the University of Southampton.
